How sponsorship works

Can I write to my sponsored child?

Yes — you can send letters and drawings through our secure portal. Children are encouraged to write back with help from their SOS family.

Can I visit the village?

Guardian and Champion sponsors may apply for organised village visits. These are coordinated with local staff to ensure child safety.

What happens if my child leaves the programme?

We'll notify you and match you with another child in need, or you can choose to redirect your gift to a village general fund.

How is my money used?

80% funds direct child and family care. The remainder covers village operations and fundraising. Full accounts are published annually.

Can I cancel my sponsorship?

Yes, at any time with no fees. We ask that you notify us so we can begin finding another sponsor for the child promptly.
